The commercial ground floor covered in greenery is a constant throughout the entire plot, connects residents and shapes communal identity. It harmonizes individual buildings and connects the ensemble to urban space. We allow for lines of sight into and out of the ground floor, which features various businesses facing Sonnenallee and working/living spaces facing the park. Hallways to the compact residential structures above receive natural light and are broken up further by lightwells and communal loggias. The thermal envelope made of prefabricated lightweight constructional components fit for a circular economy and reusable materials is detached from the reduced inner load-bearing structures. The design allows and is optimized for future modification.
